Default Steering idler grease nipple thread

Got the angle stuck in the jaws of the grease gun & snapping it off was the only way of not driving around with with the end attached

Anyone know what size/thread the 90 degree nipple is? Mine looks to be 1/4" or M8, any way of telling by thread pitch?

It is probably 1/4 UNF , a long time since I put a grease gun to a nipple !

Let me know if you are struggling. I have a spare idler and a tin full of new grease nipples from the late 1970's. I can try the nipples in my spare unit and if one fits I can post one cheap.

Chris.
Much appreciated, I'll shout if the local general autofactor types don't turn up anything.
