Tell us more,
I have my vida 2013 on my old XP laptop I have had for years, running 2GB IE 8.
I did try and put vida on my desk top windows 7 ult , IE11 ,so I could look up data for forum users with out starting up my laptop,
I could talk to my dice , but most of vida did not work, but it is 2013,

Most of Vida not working isn't an issue I'm familiar with so your issue sounds different.
I'm also not familiar at all with 2013 either in use or installing so I would speak to your seller.

No I am saying that my vida 2013 that I have had for over 5 years is working well with win xp, 2GB IE 8
I was saying that it did not work with IE 11 on windows 7 bt you can talk to the dice unit,

The other user can not talk to the dice unit so I would say it is not a IE 11 problem he is having, It is the Drivers,

but you say 2014 will work in IE 11 ,

Hi I will not bother asking my seller as 2014 was not available over 5 years ago,
I don't think you had it for sale then Did you ?

It depends what each version of Vida was designed for.
2014d is for 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate using IE9 or higher.

I don't know what OP's solution is but agree that it's unlikely to have anything to do with the IE version.

The story is that Volvo had the Dice unit made in china to save some cash,

Just to update

Tried a separate power source (2.1mm/ 5.5mm jack plug)with croc clips)with all lights, even the USB port briefly flashing on the dice

Attempted the firmware update and the dice was seen but just went into an error.

Will try a downgrade to IE 9 to see if it makes a difference

Most likely is a .NET issue. This happened to my set up when Windows Updates screwed up my installation of VIDA. Check for recent updates to .NET and back them out to the previous version.
