Time to sell my P2 V70 T5 300bhp LPG converted
I think she will be up for sale from Wednesday onwards. I haven't owned this long and was previously owned by Alastair off this forum. Since I have owned her I have had it converted to LPG using KME equipment as per Classicswede's conversions, with an 85 litre gas tank in the boot. You will not get a more practical, powerful and relatively cheap to run car for the money.
The car's a Y-reg (2001) T5 Geartronic with 109k and full service history. Silver / black leather. Loaded... electric folding mirrors, heated seats, integral child booster seats, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, etc. A really nice place to sit inside! Mildly modded - BSR PPC tuned to 299 BHP (I think), Eibach springs, Koni adjustable shocks, aftermarket HIDs. MOT to Dec 2011, taxed till end of November 2011. Recent new front tyres, recent refurbed wheels, just had oil and plugs service and ATF fluid change. Had an alternator in 2010 and an ETM as well! Injectors were Jimathan cleaned last year. Previous previous owners had the wishbones replaced too as well as the driver's door check strap that commonly fails. Wants for nothing! There are a couple of bad points that I can highlight: Earlier in her life she had an owner who used her for commuter parking, so the bodywork isn't super. One ding in the passenger door is the only major one (visible in first photo below, near the door handle), there is some scuffing to the corners on the bumpers too. The rest is pretty straight. Interior is really good, except for some of the fake wood trim that really wants removing and respraying (silver?) to look totally smart. I'm being picky really. One of the door microswitches isn't working properly so the alarm is showing a fault code. Still locks / unlocks fine so I haven't bothered to fix this. And that's it! EVERYTHING works otherwise, and EVERYTHING that might need money spent on it has had it. This one should run and run. Will be sad to see her go but due to a new business venture I have just bough a BMW 540i Touring through a friend, a bargain I could not refuse. Let me know if any early interest. Price is £4000 given history / extensive recent maintenance / mods / LPG conversion etc. You would not be able to get this quality LPG kit fitted for less than £1250. May consider selling without the kit but why would you want the running costs of the petrol??? Car is in Barry, South Wales and viewing welcomed! No test drives unless you have adequate insurance. Price seems fairly reasonable, a touch high but then it's had plenty done to it and it's gassed. I'd get the door microswitch fixed, people generally don't like buying cars with issues. Have you only got it up on the forum, have you tried specialist sites like PistonHeads?
