Default Name that part! Unknown engine piece - Euro4 D5

I've noticed that the part labelled with the red arrow in the picture below seems to have become detached from something. Any idea what it is?

It's plastic, and has a hollow circular end if that helps!

Engine is a Euro4 D5 185 and the car is an S60 2007

Hi I think that it is your inlet manifold swirl arm from the stepper motor,

Thanks Dave - does the other end need to be connected to anything? The car drives absolutely fine, just thought it was weird this plastic piece was just hanging loose
