EGR valve stuck. V70 2008 D5 185

Hello everyone. I’ve recently bought VIDA/DICE to scan my car after Volvo said it had no errors. Performance and gearbox have never been right and my scan seems to indicate that the EGR valve is stuck. God knows how Volvo didn’t spot this (one of many historic faults) but I suspect they didn’t scan it in the first place.

Does anyone have any guidance on cleaning it please? All YT videos I seem to find are earlier engines not my era, 2008 D5 Auto 2.4.

Has anyone done the task successfully on their own car with this engine?

Ah ha! Thank you so much for that. That does look like my engine, all the others I found looked completely different!

Doesn’t look too bad....at least not as bad as I feared.
