'04 S40 Drivers door wont lock with key or fob - Page 2

It's because you said "However if I pull the drivers door handle it opens! before deadlocking it unlocks the whole car, after just the drivers door."

I presumed you meant if you pull the handle after you've locked the doors but before the deadlock has locked.

Nah you're all good mate, it's been a busy weekend so I was sort of on auto pilot and not reading properly either lol

Just a bump of this post to say 'thanks' for the suggestion by adamamam in 2014. I discovered this problem with my new S40 today and within 5 mins the c/l's working and lifting the driver's handle doesn't trip it any more.
