I was going to say that , the trip computer is the average from the last fill up (reset) the VOC is individual journeys, what confused me on the OP was that had filled up & rest the trip computer & 2 miles later I started to tow my caravan back hom.

I use the Fuelly website to log the fuel put into the car and the mileage driven. It provides an interesting comparison to the car computer generated values which are essentially going to flatter the car's consumption so as to give the driver a warm feeling of economy.

I don’t think the car takes into consideration calculation since last fill up.
I have the impression that it takes i to consideration last xx km/miles, but i don’t know whether it’s last 100km’s or more

Unfortunately fuelly although can be setup to km’s and liters does not give you the option to log fill ups other than gallons.

I add the fuel used in Litres, in the setting up for a car there was an option to specify the units, as I only drive in Eurpean countries I buy litres of fuel.
