False alarms are dangerous, if it happens often enough, new ones will be ignored.
This is well known in the industry and a lot of effort is made to avoid it. That is why systems such as TPMS should be very reliable. If not, they not only defeat their purpose but can create danger instead of safety.

The iTPMS of our XC90 doesn't have problems, it seems to be "ok". The TPMS system of many of the thousands
of Volvo's with TPMS probably have dTPMS. I read quite some complaints about the "i" version of TPMS and I wish I could have had the "d" version as a paid option when we bought the car. I don't like iTPMS, but surely you already know that
