Default New V70 Owner - Upgrades & Reversing

Well I've made the jump! I've purchased one. Volvo V70 D5 2008. My other Volvo S40 will be pleased to have a bigger brother. :-)

Only thing is I need to fit reverse sensors or a reverse camera. Anyone else done it?

Also any other recommended changes or upgrades?

Excellent! I had a similar set of these in my Berlingo, they were great! Just not sure where I will put them in the Volvo when I pick it up.

I asked this in another thread but where did you take the feed from. I have failed to get it working in my xc70 but assume as its 2008 like your V70 should be the same?

sensors. Managed to find the reverse light feed in the head lining but not enough current coming through to power the unit? Worked from interior light and also checked wiring direct to battery. Assume its something to do with canbus but don't really know.

I followed the reverse light wire back and then shredded it a little and push power cable for reverse sensor through middle and electric taped it.

The Reverse Camera is the best thing I've done!!!

I assume your reverse lights are also on the tailgate not the corner pillar? Odd that it wouldn't work with me.
