Default Satnav from an S80 removal.

I am visiting a chap close by tomorrow night with the intention of buying the Volvo Satnav from his S80 to fit into my V70. I have a few questions.
1. Is it immediately transferrable? Will it just be a case of plug and play or is there something more to it than that?
2. How hard is it to get out and what exactly do I need to take out of the S80 to transfer to my V70?

I really appreciate your responses and expertise. Many thanks.

** Scrap that idea. Just found out they are coded to the car **
