Ah, fair enough - £300 did sound like a bargain.

They look somewhat similar to either Jag X-Type or possibly a later Volvo wheels to me but i might be wrong. Could also be later Astra/Vectra/Insignia wheels with spacers to correct the offset.
Looking at the MoT history, someone put it in for a test on 4th Feb this year and there was a lot of welding needed. Before that, the last MoT was Aug 2017 which would have run out Aug 18, it passed then with an advisory for an oil leak.

If you have a look at post #13 on the first (second?) page, you'll see the comment about it being up for sale for £1200.

The PCD on the FE's is the same as BMW use, and a few FE's have been retro-fitted with 3-series alloys.

With luck the owner will both get it MoT'ed and (re-)join the VX4/90 Drivers Club (shameless plug as I'm the Membership Secretary of said body) or, if already a member, let me know some more about the car.

I know the 4 stud FE (and also the later Cavalier Mk1) PCD is the same as BMW 3-series but what about the 5-stud? I was under the impression BMW used something oddball for that?

At least some BMW 5-stud wheels will fit the 5-bolt FE hubs - it may be that the later BMWs use a different PCD.
