Hi bobych, I have just finished this mod on the 805, works great by the way! I just wondered if you had got anywhere with fooling the 805 tape deck into thinking there is a tape in it?

Glad it is working

as yet, I have not found a soloution to the tape fool.

hi bobbych i have a sc802 and i was going to go the;; leave tape deck in route;; and have a blank tape in but your idea looks alot easier and neater, ive stripped my unit and cant find the marked/labelled circuit board, as i think yours is a different unit,,as looks different lay out inside!

any chance of pointin me in the right direction,, regards, gary 07816 901 048

I have done a few 802's and they have all been the same, so thats odd. I cannot help you without seeing the inside/bottom

This brilliant hack is exactly what I am looking for. My radio is a SC-901. Do you know if workable on this model ?

Wondering just how clever you are Bobby?

I had 2 V70's to pick from and the one I turned down (not sure if the right decision) had a JVC stereo (think it was) that had a USB connector into the glove compartment and a microphone tucked neatly up near the sun visor. I never asked, but I can assume what they were for and in fact that they were connected to the stereo at all!!

I suppose the unit itself would need more components within it to manage these sort of capabilities? What do you reckon? That would be a super cool mod if it were possible!! (not that the current one isn't of course....)

Hi has anyone else done the SC801 mod, I can't get hold of bobby via pm.
I think I can do it all without the pic's bar the 2v fooling the tape deck, does anyone who's done this know where or can describe which point it is to solder? Cheers!
