Orange speed alert on sat nav
I have a Volvo XC90 with rti traffic system. Can someone tell me if the orange speed camera alerts a camera that is approaching or one that has just been gone through. Also do they alert in both fixed and average speed camera areas? I am a very speed conscious driver but having only taken ownership of my Volvo a week ago and having just gone on a long journey, I am worried that the orange alert appeared 3 separate times! I never once saw a camera flash and was never travelling at more that the prevailing speed.

You don’t say which version of satnav you have - there are several in Volvo’s dictated making not by year but also varying by model. That said in most of them red/orange means you are travelling faster than the database states the camera is monitoring and it is for the one you are travelling towards, once you have passed it the warning will disappear.
You also be able to set it to give you an audible warning when one is on your route. They do not work for average speed zones
