V50 2.0d light throttle hesitation
Hello All,
I've been reading the EGR valve thread and have noticed that two of the posters 'chris S40' an '7050man' have referred to a hesitation at a light, constant throttle in the 1800-2200 rpm region. My 06 V50 2.0d, 47000 on the clock with FVSH also suffers from this problem which appears to be slowly getting more prominent over time. The cars been on diagnostics at the mian dealer and shows no faults, and the induction hoses and vac pipes have been checked for leaks. An independent found an issue with the MAF which was subsequently replaced, however this has made no difference to the light throttle hesitation. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the cause and fix to this problem? Many Thanks, Gary |

Hi I have the same issue I've done the below and still the same
Replaced fuel filter and also cleaned out the housing Cleaned egr (also blanked and unplugged) Cleaned maf Cleaned out throttle body and sensors Fitted new fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail Replaced the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel pump I've now been told its more likely to be an injector just waiting to get it booked In for an injector leak off test Last edited by Baker3570; Aug 10th, 2020 at 19:17. |

Gents, had a similar but not exactly the same issue on my 05 2.0d. It may be worth checking all of the pipe work checked over for leaks, I won’t bore you with my saga but it was all down supposedly to a air leak in the air charger intake pipe and that’s caused all manner of issues.

Not at the min as I’m away from my home pc which has got the Vida on it, I can tell you which area you need to be looking in, at the back of the unbind is the egg on the right as your looking at it, to your left is the inter cooler and then from underneath, you’ll find the turbo Andy the inter cooler pipe, that’s one you need to check for leaks, it would be worth doing a smoke test which will certainly show up any leaks, does your turbo operate normally ?
