Default Dash lights

Hi all
My dash lights are always on even when my lights are switched off. The main light switch seems to work ok as it turns my head lights on and off ok. Is this normal on Volvos or is the switch faulty or something.

Do you mean the dials for the speedometer and rev counter are lit up? This is normal, there should be a dial just under the headlight switch that allows you to increase or dim the brightness.

Thank you yes the Speedo and rev counter fuel gauge and so on. I have the dimmer switch that can turn them down. It’s something I need to get use to then as I sometimes forget my head lights aren’t on because the dash lights are. Had cars with auto lights for the pass 20 years

Check before doing it thats yors is the same but you can leave the headlight switch in the headlight on position and then the lights all come on when you turn on ignition and go out when you turn off.

The sidelight position is then just for sidelights when parking.

Does anyone know what bulbs are for the heater switch and temperature control and for the light switch. I’ve been told they are T3-T4-T5. Just need to get the correct ones before I start

The headlight panel bulb is a lot longer than standard and the heater depends on if you have ECC or not.

There are guides on here somewhere but for bulbs look at PFS Parts or Skandix to get the part numbers. If you look in the suppliers section there is a discount code and contact for Swansea Volvo
