The dreaded 'what options/packs thread'

Been wondering whether to post this or not as I guess it's a very personal matter, what works for one doesn't have to work for another.

However.... am wondering if anyone sees any glaring over-sights, over spec'ed items etc etc. Always worth a second opinion!

The one item I don't have and wished I did, money limits prevented it, and is missing from your list was the winter pack. I only actually wanted a heated windscreen but Volvo bundle it together so rather like Sky you can't get what you want, just what they want you to have. Bumping the other items into the pack took it beyond my top limit so the whole thing was left off. Anyway, minor rant over. A frozen screen in winter may not be an issue for you down in palm tree lined Hastings but if it is then I would certainly include that option.

Great Spec

I'm no sound music bod but at £1250 for your audio gear I would seriously compare the aftermarket Pioneer Carplay stuff about to hit the shelves. You might need a screen for this and it might not fit in a Volvo but worth checking out. I only say this I have sensus connect and it aint worth much imho. Again I have the standard sound and to me it is pretty standard too, not fantastic but suits me, prob wouldnt suit any serious music peeps.

You're only missing a sunroof and Volvo on Call (which I took instead of a spare wheel as they come and tow you away!)

Heated Screen is included in Winter Illumination pack - best choice there well done..

I got the Winter Illumination Pack, that includes all the heated goodies.... I hope?!

Sunroof not overly keen on, are they that great? I've never had a car with one so have no idea! Yes the sound does worry me, high cost so might look at that. I want the 7" screen though so not sure I can get it without premium? bit confused there!

Have you thought about Volvo on Call. The idea of being able to track the car and have it disabled if stolen has got to be worth the £450 less discount. Also saves having to put a separate tracker on your 30k plus car.

Sunroof is panoramic so floods the car with light and doesn't get too hot either. I wondered about it but got it and am pleased to have it. I went for powered passenger seat too as the wheel to adjust it is fiddly and awkward to use. Besides that sounds a great spec.

I'm gathering you don't need/want AWD.

Do you just need to have any flavour of Sensus Connect to get the 7" screen?

If so I might just got for the 'Sensus connect with high performance sound'.

On reflection don't especially need the Nav element so figure I could always get the code at a later date if I decide to add it.

Saves £1200 which could go towards different options :-)

Yep no need for AWD, as it is very hilly down here I always have winter tyres on my cars which have always been amazing and got me everywhere I've needed to go. Already bought some winter wheels/tryes for the XC60 and I don't even own one yet. How's that for forward planning?!
