Radio V40 2002

Hi all
I have a V40 2002 1.8 petrol
Same times my radio works fine. But sometimes it doesn’t it loses its power and I have to put the code in again. Other times the radio has no power so I can’t even put the code in. I removed the radio when this happened and had no power on the thicker red cable which I’m thinking is the main power supply. My thinking is a relay is playing up. I’ve looked online but unable to find any relays for the radio. Unless I’m thinking this wrong. Any help would be appreciated thanks

you could have a wire rotting in the loom which goes from Left to right under the radiator due to water ingress, a few main power supplies run along there , best look at the wiring diagram and see where the radio main power supply comes from...
