Just to quote myself out of daftness but Spangoolies on here is a prime example of a 1.5 Phase. His is 2000 which is you could say Phase 1 but it's fitted with Phase 2 front end, it's that crossover period which is essentially 1.5

i thought phase 1.5 was phase 1 with phase 2 wiring/ engines which is 2000 model? and phase2 is 2001> model which was avaliable mid 2000. also the ph2 had a longer wheelbase which is why ph2 front end doesnt fit ph1

At the risk of sounding a bit silly here, I just called up Volvo North London, told them my plate number and asked was this a phase 2, and they said yes.... That is of course unless they are thick/devious and gave me wrong info. :-/ But I dont think so.

I was just going off a post by Spangoolies which kind of described IMO the Ph 1.5, I could be wrong, I've only ever owned a Phase 2 so could be totally off colour, just what i've picked up on the posts in this section, you could be right mate but I couldnt argue!!

Well essentially 2001 should be Phase 2 I think. Does the front end of your car look like this

or

First pic is Phase 1 front end 2nd pic is obviously Phase 2 front end.

Definately Phase 2 then so at least the Volvo dealership was telling the truth.

Those posted by Baffler and Alexx are Phase 2 black bezel light's so defiantely what will fit your car with no modification required, should be remove and refit and done. 128 for both headlight's so far isnt a bad price really, obviously could escalate higher though.

On another note it's sad to see not many variant's of headlight's for Volvo's, modification wise ie Angel Eye or Projector.
