Default Tempa Spare Wheel?

Can someone please tell me how thick is the spare for the V60?

If I cannot get it into the boot well, then I might think of storeing it behind the passenger seat.

Thank you.

tem.

I didn't bother to measure it before fitting it.
However:-
  • It fits into the well - "no problems"
  • BUT you lose the floppy bits and pieces storage tray (that's under the plywood floor).
  • The basic boot floor works whether it's a plain one or the variety with the shopping bag holder.
  • IMHO there's still room to fit breakdown triangle, towbar, al sorts of other stuff under the floor. You could cut the tray in half if you want.

see the "Official" thread.

I can also confirm that it fits perfectly under the floor. I just put a piece of old carpet underlay down first to protect the floor and wheel from scratching. I have used the inside of the wheel to store variuos bits including the original tyre repair kit. The warning triangle will fit between the spare wheel and rear valance. I have put the jack still in its box in front of the wheel. All works well thanks to help from other forum members here.

Yes, i can confirm that. My MY11 V60 has a skinny spare in the underfloor area, a Volvo genuine spare, and there is room for various bits and pieces - jack, wheel brace etc. I also have a tow bar fitted. The only slight issue is that there are no obvious lashing points to really tie it down as many of the surrounding bits and pieces are brittle looking plastic, however I am of the view that the floor provides plenty of security to prevent the wheel breaking loose should the worst happen.
