I believe given that significant amount of time passing that any legal claim would fail, but by all means check with Which.
Cars today are way too complicated. It would be so nice if all manufacturers could start supplying cars with the option of no onboard computerisation.

That's not technically possible. The legal demands for car performance are impossible to accomplish without the use of electronic control units.

That things can't fail after four years is just wishful thinking. Of course they can.
