No, but that one is certainly a much more realistic estimate than that on 'Reg E's car, at a different auction and also on this forum.

John.

How much did it go for? It looked like a good one.

The results should be on their website by close of business tomorrow (Wednesday 18th)

Maybe an unrealistic reserve?... 14 years of unrecorded services (I may have misread it) and just because it has been in a film doesn't make up for that... unless it was graced by the bum of Angelina Jolie and then I might have happily bid on it myself

& before I get hammered for proxy upping my 240 which is in a similar forthcoming auction, it isn't my intention..what will be will be and mine has as good as no reserve...

I read somewhere that a potential buyer went to view it and it wouldn't start - d'oh!

If anything, being used in a TV series (and owned by the production firm) would be a negative for me as they would be happy just to make it presentable for the screen and sell it afterwards rather than a long term owner who took better care. We recently had an advert filmed in our road, set in the 70s and I was excited to see a Mini, Capri and Marina in the close, brought in by the producers. But close inspection revealed they were in pretty horrible re condition.
