Haha! Marty the young Swedish male model. I could be in one of those aftershave adverts!

Not been on here for awhile. Still got the same S40 T4 and V40 Diesel.
The T4 sailed through the MOT last week and got the MOT for the diesel next month.

Braking issues
I replaced all the discs a year or so ago. Recently started to get a vibration on light braking. Heavy braking not so noticeable. On ITV (MOT) there was little needle fluctuation to indicate a warped disc.
Stripped all the front brakes down and lubed everything up where suitable. A little improved. Splashed out on some grooved and drilled front discs with new Mintex pads. Mainly because skimming a disc would cost me 15€ each, plus loss of use of the vehicle. Previously the pedal was "hard" but effective. My 2014 Panda was way more responsive than the V40. New discs on, smooth, effective and vibration free.

Discovered the cause of my frankly catastrophic oil leak the other day, nothing to do with the return pipe O ring, it's the joint between the pipe and (the presumably pressed on?) Banjo fitting, on idle alone there's enough coming out for it to drip onto the floor once every 2 or 3 seconds, I dread to think what it's doing under load, I did make a thread but somehow managed to post it in the x40 wants section by mistake.

Sad day. Decided to put it up for sale having bought a 2008 Audi A6 Avant. Definitely not going to be an upgrade in the reliability stakes as it's both a 2.0TFSI and Multitronic! I've pre-emptively bought shared in Castrol.
Already finding the forums are nowhere near as helpful as here - nobody seems prepared to work things out and the answer to everything is 'buy it from Audi' :/ Looks a treat though and drives beautifully (for now): Have loved every bit of Volvo ownership.... Thanks guys ... Might still hang around now and then.
