Default Centre armrest catch

Hi all,
Would I be correct in assuming that when you lift up the centre arm rest, it should lift up the middle tray as well? I think mine had a catch but it appears broken. Would I be correct?

In fact I didn't realise there WAS a "middle tray" for quite a while.

Cheers

There is a small plastic pin in the lid that holds the tray (bottom image)

It's the pin that holds the tray up that is missing on mine. Bet it's a whole new tray job !!

Just need a small Neodymium magnet, they're available pre-drilled, the're super strong and don't take up a lot of room. Fit with self tapper screw and use a similar size washer for other side. Don't use two magnets or you'll never get it opened
