Default 850 Tdi Clutch

I am going to look at at 96 850 tdi. It apparently needs a clutch.
I will do the usual checks and assuming that it is indeed the clutch how much should I budget for this.

Default 850 Clutch

Further to previous post, the seller has described the car as running fine until he was pulling away at a junction and says he immediately lost all drive.
No bangs or noises just no drive and apparently you can push the gear stck about without using the clutch pedal but there is no drive at all.
Any ideas?

Might be as easy as.....driveshaft popped out........need to look closely as it don't take much to lose drive.........if it has, then stretch the spring clip that holds it in place...worked for me on Cavalier.

But it could be something else.....

Good luck...

Thanks for the suggestion, imagine if it was something simple
But of course it will be a full clutch job.

Sticking slave cylinder if it's been idle for awhile? Might just need some use?
