Default Fuel line sourcing problem

The Car failed it MOT today with a buggered fuel line, the one that goes from the fuel filter. Garage cannot source one and Volve apparently do not sell them.

Cannot believe a 2003 vehicle may need to be scrapped because of a broken fuel line.

Anyone got any sites that sells them hidden in theri bookmarks,,or have had the same proble and know a workaround or replacement that will fit?

Regards john

I'm sure a general garage ought to be able to fix you up with a proper repair … I assume it is the metal pipe rusty ..

What mrfixer said. I had the same issue when I dropped my tank to replace the brake lines. What I found was that the fuel lines where in terrible shape too. I cut them off thinking it would be an easy thing to order...nope. I ended up cutting off the rusty bits and replacing the lengths with fuel-rated rubber hose. I then flared the metal hose ends using my brake flaring tool to create a nice little ridge and then use some one-time clamps to fasten the rubber hose to the metal ends. Worked like a charm.

I see you're in Leyland so I can only assume it's the one in Lancashire. There a garage near me that specialises in repairing Volvos and they also break scrap ones for parts. I recently got a new front fog light for mine for a tenner. Could be worth a phone call for advice or booking it in with them if they know how to do it.

It's called Read View Garage and it's in Huncoat, by Accrington.

Here's the Google maps link;
