Default What steering rack do I have??????

2000 V70

Trying to find out what type of steering rack I have. I need to order new inner and outer tie rods but cant seem to figure it out. On my VIN plate I have 2R431211, all I can find is that the last should be a 4 or 5. Any ideas?

Thanks

Most likely SMI which will be printed on the inner rod boot if original but we can quickly tell using the full 17 digit chassis number.

How did you find that? I look at all kinds of VIN decoders and only found basics. Would be good to know so I don't have to ask all the time. Thanks

Beware of parts catalogues that swear blind to know the right part.
The SMI inners are about 50mm shorter than the ZF and have a finer pitch thread on the bit that goes in the rack. damhik
