Pity you weren't closer, I'd have gladly fitted one for you. 10 minute job.

I honestly think some folk on forums procrastinate too much about stuff like this and actually put people off having a go. CPS on a 940 is a very easy job

Hi Joe, That would of been excellent as the car only had a genuine 72k on it and really was superb condition, but as i said due to bad health and not getting any better I really was fed up of it just sitting around, All the best, Tommy.

In general, the trouble becomes, some forum members give too optimistic advice, and others over state the difficulties. They are human init.

As a result, for myself working on the time spent on reconnaissance is never wasted principle, and extra cautious 'cos of a long standing illness, I can end up deferring jobs that are well within my grasp. Partly in case advice given might be over optimistic....

But and it is a BIG but: people with experience of having done things or tried them are the heart and soul of the forum. They contribute and even people like me can learn. Thank you. Cushti.

*****

Having found where the dratted CPS is, I have no doubt it is truly a job for a simple spanner and a good arm length "pond glove". Easy peasy. Famous last words.

Washing gloved hands and arms in a bucket of hot water to clean the gloves is rather good....and definitely not perverted thank you!
