XC90 D5 ‘16 Plate Suspension Strife
Hello all!
I’m the owner of a 66 plate XC90 R Design with Air Suspension which has a prolific history of “Suspension Service Required” faults. It has been back to the main dealer several times for extended periods, no faults have been identified but the alarm still keeps coming in and out. Very annoying for a car of its class. I have made a point of recording when the fault message occurs to see if there is pattern regarding weather, but it would appear to be sporadic. Has anyone else suffered the same fate? Cheers Matt |

Sorry that no one has replied but you might be better posting it the the forum which is 2 above this one as this is the forum for the new xc60. Hope you get an answer there.

Dealer is being typically non specific, it’s been in several times with the issue, a couple of days on one or two occasions. I’m told they have been “right through” the suspension system and taken advice from “Volvo UK and Sweden”. In April it had a Firmware and Software update, seem to do the trick for a few weeks and then ping, up it came again. The most recent occurrence came up as I was picking it up from its Service and hasn’t gone away, it’s booked in again next Monday.
I’m just curious how many times I need to keep going back and forth until something else can be done. Elevated complaint etc. It’s a huge inconvenience going back and forth to the dealer as the Volvo network is quite poor in my opinion. I’m doing 80 miles + dropping it off and picking it up each time. Considering invoicing them for my time. |
