Default Air Lift Suspension Kits?

Hi there, just joined the forum and have been searching for information on Air Lift Suspension Kits, but can't find any.

Has anybody fitted Air Lift Kits/Air Bags to their rear suspension for towing?

Want to fit some to my 940 estate but not sure which type or brand to go for.

This is the type of thing I'm after: http://www.yourhotcar.com/product/li...arts/Air_Bags/

Thanks!

Neil

Monroe make shock absorbers (Max Air) that can be pressurised to level the car.

Many 945s were fitted with Sachs Nivomat self levelling shock absorbers (your car may already have these fitted).

Do a search for "Nivomat", there has been plenty of discussion on this subject on the forum

Thanks!

Definitely don't have Nivomats fitted. As it is the car sags quite badly at the rear, even without any load!

Just done some digging and it would seem that perhaps I have a saggy rear end (the car not me!) because I do have Nivomats and they've failed!

Would make sense as the car was used very little in the last few years.

Keep searching and you will find that most folks use heavy duty coilsprings and standard shocks to replace the nivomats.
It's not ideal and can be a bit harsh.
I put these on my 740 as I tow a large caravan.

Checked my shocks last night and they're not Nivomats, maybe the springs are just tired!

Like the idea if the Monroe shocks though, gonna get a price today from my local supplier.

They would be a lot cheaper than Nivomats and new springs, Linky
