Hi,
becouse all cars have OBDII or simular I did buy a reader ,just to learn more about fault codes etc.
I did order a LMC327 with the free software included.Verry exited put it in the plug of my V40 2002 td and.......no connection with the cpu. After searching the net I found that this one is not for trucks and diesels.
Now I would like to know witch one you use and where to look for it.I am not in the mood to pay 300+ € .
Feedback from the forum would be nice

I am pretty certain that NOTHING will work on the Phase 2 1.9D. Most code readers are unable to read the ECU codes for the 1.9D, except for the VIDA DiCE and very expensive professional code readers.

We have a £300 pound 'all systems' code reader at work and it won't read the engine ecu. It'll tell me how much sunlight is falling on the Climate Control sensor but not what the engine is doing.

However I can get the OBDII codes for the engine as mine is an '04. These are very basic and not that helpful though.
