C70: - Interior colours and code confusion!

I have received some leather dye from a seller, listing it as Granite 1944, it's a mid grey with a brown tint to it. My 2005 T5 has the dark grey (almost black) interior and the vin plate records the interior as 1944 - as does my son's 1999 C70 coupe with the same interior colour.

I was about to return the dye when I did an internet search and downloaded and a sales brochure which does show Granite 1944 as the colour of the dye and the dark grey as: Grey 1970. The dye supplied matches the brochure but neither look like the mid grey I have seen on C70s. Is the brochure in error? Can anyone with dark grey/black interiors please check their vin plate code and confirm the code No.

Thanks but don't bother, I must been having a brain dead day - both mine and my son's vin codes show the interior as 1970, not sure why I thought it was 1944!

Where on the vin code is the interior colour? I have the 2tone black and greyish on mine. As usual, uploading pic on here gets inverted lol

Second line down small right hand box - looks like 2974
The box below it is the paint colour and type of paint.

HELLLLLLLP I am trying to find that style of plate on my 2006 C70

I can only find a VIN PLATE visible through the windscreen and on a plate in front of the windscreen in the engine compartment and on a sticker on the B pillar on the R/H/S door

I cannot find the 'old style' plate that were on all my other Volvo's including my V70R AWD

I am looking for the paint code.

FOUND IT

474 Celestial Blue Metallic C70

And yes it does look rather Celestial sadly not a turbo version or it might have had wings (the flying kind) as well :-)
