Default V90 , Load Anchors

I was looking at my new V90 and where to tie something down in the boot. There are eyelets at the very rear but I cant see any near the back seat. I seem to have blanking plates where they should be/ looked up the manual (Link here)
It shows eyelets where I have blanks covers. Can anyone else advise what they have please.

Seems pointless having a tie down eyelet at the rear of the boot but nothing near the back seats

Hi,

I think the vertical load anchors may be an accessory purchase along with the cargo net as my V90 Inscription also only had blanks there.

Interestingly I bought a dog guard and that came with bolt-on anchor points for the guard tensioner bars which simply replaced the plastic blanking plates. These also double-up as a load retaining anchorage point for a cargo net etc.

Making anchors an add-on feature sounds very German.. I would never expect this from Volvo..

I agree and have made the dealer know I am not happy. Especially annoying as every picture of the boot area when you work through the Build configurator (In Accessories) seems to have the anchors.

Apparently the parts department cant find them as spares either.

It shows in the manual using them to lash down the luggage as a ‘must’ so thats poor if they’ve vanished

Do the anchors come supplied with the cargo net?

When moving 150 kg of AGM batteries recently I could find no effective way of strapping them down to prevent minor movement Very remiss of a company who makes such a feature of safety. My V70, designed in the Ford era, had them.

Here's the part number for the cargo net (black): 31408760, it may be worth getting your dealer to check whether the additionally required anchor rings come with the net, and if not, why not! You could order a net and then reject it if the rings aren't included.
