I take it you've now listed it as I just saw one with the same slight "damage" on the top right corner.

You might have actually got to the price you've started at if it started at a lower price. Good luck anyway.

Here is a link to the ebay page to make it easy for others.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140846148816

Think your still asking twice as much as what it is actually worth.

Good luck with the sale though.

Thanks. As with anything it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Lots of watchers, probably everyone from this thread!

Considering what you've just sold your grill for I think you owe me a Forum public apology.

I've been keeping an eye on this thread, for obvious reasons, and would just like to put my side of the story here.

You were looking for an S40 egg crate grill and I had a spare one, which I bought and paid good money for, and thought it would be helpful to offer it to you for what I paid for it, plus a little extra in case you knocked me down. You readily agreed to pay £95 including postage for it (which I told you was roughly the going value for a grill) without even trying to knock me down so I sent it to you and, from your emails to me, you were very happy with it and thanked me for being so helpful!

Now you come on to the Forum and try and sell it for £150 and accuse me of ripping you off!! I, like many people on here, have been keeping an eye on your auction and guess what? Your grill sold for £86.99 + £8.95 postage making £95.94 so I was spot on wasn't I???? Or have you just ripped someone else off??

Is that a sorry I can see on the horizon??? I hope it is my friend.

I expect he felt that he was ripped off because everybody in this thread said that the grill was worth far less than what he thought and what he paid for it. His sale has only proven he wasn't far wrong to begin with so really his opinion was influenced by other members who told him he was expecting far too much and had paid far too much in the first place.

I wonder how much it would have gone for if it was in mint condition? Over £100 maybe?

Precisely! To be honest I think everyone else who said I was a chancer and that I was ripped off in the first place should be apologising and admitting they know jack. As I said before, things are always worth what someone is prepared to pay, prices go up & down.

Anyway, I don't really care anymore, I've got my GTi now & the V50 is history so I'm out of here.

Lee, sorry if I offended you, I shouldn't have listened to the others, thanks again for the grille & the help, my car looked good for the few months with it on.

You are a chancer and you were taking the 'P EYE Double S'!! Trying it on and wanting to rip someone off £150 for a damaged grille??? You say that is not being a chancer, especially when it is over 50% more than what you paid for it in the first place??

People are completely mad for paying what they did for yours off ebay but you certainly didn't get the £150 you were wanting for it on here did you?? There will be another one in a week or two far better condition.

I like to think on this forum we try and help each other out and NOT just try and make as much profit as we can by ripping people off. When I sold my waterfall grille when I upgraded to an eggcrate because I no longer needed it I sold it for £20, that was because it helped another forum member off here out. I bought my eggcrate grille off another member on here and because they didn't need it anymore and they sold it to me for £45 and that one was MINT! They done that because they didn't need it and again just helping out another forum member (me) and NOT ripping them off trying it on at £150!

You on the other hand were helping nobody out but trying to get a big fat profit out of damaged goods, NOT even in MINT condition, what an absolute DISGRACE!

So you are still a chancer!!
