Default Volvo oil spec for D5?

Hi
Forgive me for asking questions like this, its a throwback from being a merc owner!
Is there an oil specification listed by volvo for use on their D5 engine?
a bit like mercedes have their own oil specs eg MB229.3
Jjust like to know for when i eventually get round to servicing the car, want to buy the right spec....and i'm too lazy to read the owners manual!

ok, this australian webpage helps quite a bit

http://="http://www.racq.com.au/cps/...l_ENA_HTML.htm

and this site i found useful too

http://www.carbibles.com/engineoil_bible.html

In general, spec A3/B4 are the same except 'A' prefix denotes for petrol engines and 'B' prefix denotes for diesel engines.
Specifically, oils designed for use in diesel engines contain more detergent additives and shouldnt really be used in petrol engines.

Yes they were using Shell Helix. I must admit that I change the oil on my 850 tdi at 12,000 mile intervals, and Im up to 381,000 miles. Always used Shell Helix with it.
