I looked at getting the grom but this seems easier and cheaper. I have 2 connections on the back one doing the sat nav and the other doing 6cd player and radio. My fm radio is erratic which means music and dab radio through my phone doesn't always work. I'm not bothered if I lose the sat nav or cd player to whichever port I need to plug into. Thanks for all the posts here and is there any left in the classifieds?? My head unit is the hu850.

I ordered one from Germany via Ebay, Amazon are out of stock. It took a bit longer to arrive (2-3 weeks)but well worth it. As others have said, a piece of cake to fit and it works seamlessly.

This version has the mic for phone calls, which you can accept with the >> button on the steering wheel.

As mentioned above, awesome find! ill be ordering one too. I've not owned the car long enough to go through the issues with it, one of those issues is sound related or lack of sound other than the occasional click, so i need to take my unit out at some point anyway.

Very First Post for me as I knew I must have handsfree for the car etc. And searched out a UK owners forum. Its not my first v70 , had a D5 some years ago which I loved. Then tried BMW's which just grated me . fast as hell and very Good MPG .But good old Mr Sadik kahn has turned Diesel owners etc into terrorists as of Monday Morning. So I purchased a stop gap 2.4 Manual today . Mine has the HU803 .So with luck , al things should be easy according to the positive posts about this unit !

The fun starts when you refit, the top has to be just in the "right place" but in it goes.

Don't forget, key at position 2 and disconnect the battery negative before you attempt removal and position 2 when you reconnect.
I removed the battery for mine . But found I never needed to disconnect anything .Plenty of room .

Well i thought i got an email when somebody replied on here, i was mistaken..
Yeah i have only just started posting on here too. this is my first volvo, my dad had a new 10 plate v70 which i liked but much prefer the xc70. I had a 06 330d estate stage 2 map and got 40+ mpg for the most part and over 300 horses. I sold that to get the volvo as i need to be driving around farms. Im looking to go hybrid in a few years, wont be long until diesels are no longer being sold. Yeah its the same unit, hope its worked for you!

Fitted the BlueMusic bluetooth adapter into the CD-changer socket on my HU-650 radio. Paired it with my Android phone. All works fine. Can play a playlist or folder and skip tracks using the steering wheel buttons.

My question is: Has anyone been able to find an App that allows recognition of the "Change CD Buttons" on the Hu-650. That is I want to be able to change playlists or folders without recourse to my phone.

Thank you very much for posting this. I realise I’m a bit late to the party, but I’ve only just found this having not visited the forum for a good while.

I’ve been wishing I had Bluetooth connectivity in my V70 since I bought it, but wasn’t prepared to spunk £120 on a GROM unit.

Just purchased this and can’t wait to for it
