Default Spare wheel space

Hi

I am going to order a V90 (B5 R-Design) and I am considering getting the spare wheel as I've had bad experiences with the foam rubbish.

Does the spare wheel fit under the boot floor without impacting the boot space?

Thanks!

I believe so, obviously you lose whatever space the underfloor storage that the spare wheel will take but other than that, no fundamental changes to loss of space. If getting the spare wheel, make sure you get all the styrofoam stuff that wedges the wheel in tightly otherwise it might rattle around a bit more than needed

Always the best option to opt for the spare wheel, you get the jack and tools included as well which are very handy to have. No jack or tools with the foam kit.

I have a v90 with a spare wheel. It's a space saver, not a full sized wheel. The wheel and tools all fit neatly under the load space with no impact on load carrying capacity (other than losing the space that the wheel takes up, which is pretty useless space anyway).

Probably worth checking with the dealer. My previous 2017 V90 D4 came with space saver wheel under floor storage.

When ordering my current B4 V90, the dealer stated the space saver could not be specced due to the MHEVs battery, which is positioned where the spare wheel would sit.

Volvo assist confirmed this with the current B MHEV range.

Apologies if this has been asked before but I've just upgraded my 2017 XC60 for a 2018 XC60 Momentum with 20" wheels and wondered what's best to buy for a spare wheel kit? Do Volvo do a 20" 'Tempa' kit with jack etc and if so, is it worth paying for?

Thanks in advance!
