Extra driving lights for my 940

There were at one time rules about height above the road surface and either distance apart or distance in from the extremity of the car[possibly even both of those]that driving lamps could be fitted to a vehicle,do these rules still not apply?

Yes, you're right, but mounting a pair of driving lamps in front of the grille isn't going to contravene any of those rules.

Put a pair of fog lights on top of the roof and you're in trouble though! Maximum height for fog lamps is 1200mm from the ground, no minimum or maximum height for driving lamps though.

The other important rule about driving lamps is they must only work in conjunction with full beam - in other words must be off unless full beam is in use.

Hi, sorry for bumping the old thread. I am looking for any info on the bracket that mounts the lights (Bosch Profi from what I understand) above front bumper on the 940. Any pictures, part numbers would be very helpful. Thank you. I am in California- this part is nonexistent in the US probably because the option was never offered.

My 940 has blanks in the bumper for fitting lights in that position. Another bling option to be considered when I have it back.

Wondering because of its interesting heritage if they were a Scandi-only option?
(For those who don't know, my car was sourced via Volvo Diplomatic Services direct from the factory for an RAF officer based in Germany)

Better double check to see if it has two .303 Vickers machine guns in the front bumper as well Tally Ho Roger
