2022 XC90 R-Design Pro

Hi All - New to the forum here but have been quietly reading away since we decided to go Volvo earlier in the month.

We placed an order for an XC90 Inscription Expression T8 on October 4th - with the initial delivery 'estimate' as 25th Feb '22. Got a call from the dealer last week to say they have been offered a build slot with delivery to the stealers between 10th and 19th December.

The original order/quote explicitly stated 'T8 18.8kWh 455 GPF' - so I guess it remains to be seen as to if we get an older one or an 18kWh version when it turns up.

I would personally get them to confirm it is still the upgraded power plant if I were you! Great if it's an early version of new power plant, but I wouldn't be happy if I got the 'present' lower power one...!

As Lozzingers said, I'd get them to confirm it will actually be the newer version before committing to the new order date.
As the newer 18.8kwh 455 power train isn't due to arrive at uk dealers until early 2022 (around March time by all accounts), the build slot they have offered you is most likely a MY21.5 model with the 11.6kwh 405 power train that someone had pulled out of in favour of waiting for the newer model to appear.

Confirm rather than be disappointed.
