IIRC it was also necessary to have all the 'recommended' items done by Volvo, using Volvo parts - so when you were handed the long list of items identified by the service inspection, you couldn't just ignore it.

I think I stood about 5 years of that, until the 'recommendations' ramped up a bit. I suppose it depended a lot on the owner's relationship with the dealer - in my case the local dealer that supplied the car dropped their Volvo franchise.

However - if your car still qualifies then it will be listed on the Volvo system, and you should be elegible to use Volvo careline (free RAC recovery).

Well, I better get along to the nearest main dealer and ask them to replace that rear hatch sill that I did that temporary repair on then. I'm sure that they will welcome me with open arms...........

Be careful In. Now that you have been elected officially as the old man of the 240 bit of the forum, well, you know we could start to take advantage of your years, and try to con you in various ways!

Can you get your zimmer in an auto, or could you modify the clutch pedal of a manual to accept the leg of the zimmer??

Sorry Ian, couldn't resist, especially as I can give you a few years.
Alec
