Help - Infotainment Woes
Help!
My wife's XC60 has been DAB-free for a few months now. Having some electronics experience, I thought I'd whip the DAB module out and see if I could get it repaired... Yesterday, I took it out, captured all the numbers and sent out a few e-mails... Meanwhile, today the Mrs took the car to work... She telephoned me to say that the radio didn't work and the Sat-Nav was constantly showing an error message... Whoops..! I realised that the CANBUS must be open circuit because of the missing module... I refitted the module as soon as I got home tonight... Nothing, nada and zilch..! The display shows the Volvo logo for a few seconds, then goes blank (except for climate control info). It seems that the Mrs got sick of watching the error message and turned the system off... Now it won't turn back on... Other than throwing the kid's inheritance at my local dealer, is there anything I can do to reset the system..? Thanks Jeff Glasgow

Its the fibre optic cable thats the important bit and also must be kept clean as any dirt will mess up the signal,
can see if it works as it will light up when plugged in on one side of the cable

Miti - did you mean to post on the XC90 forum?
Anyway - "hardware reset" might do the trick?? Disconnect the battery for 15 mins and then re-connect and try again. Cheers Dave |
