Question Pipercross panel air filter

As most of you guys are buying cones and all sorts of crazy stuff for your turbo machines. Lucky sods.

Has anyone tried or running a pipercross panel filter on a 2.5 10v or 20v ?

Any change in how the engine breathes & performs ?

They are only £35 delivered to the door, is it worth me getting one on my 2.5 10v ?

Cheers

Jon

But he is only a 2.5 10v, will buy one even if someone says there is a load more intake noise & nothing else !! I had one of their filters on my old Westfield, great stuff, but any good/difference as a panel filter ?

Cheers

better breathing will help on any engine, not sure about the extra noise tho as you've got the standard airbox making everything boring & quietening it down

Hi,

I have one on my V90 and whilst you don't get any increased noise value, the engine can breath more easily.

That in itself will help your performance - albeit slightly...
You also need to fit a new "free-flow" exhaust system to get even more benefit from this though....

Geese the Mrs will be happy when I take delivery of the new exhaust !!!!

Its costing me, sorry us what feels like a fortune in bits, bobs and every sensor under the sun, will buy the Ilexia software for the laptop first.

In the mean time her CRV runs like a dream !

New exhaust sounds a great idea though, can dump the silly cat then !!
