Tackled the old 240 heater motor last week
What a job but one of the most satisfying once achieved. New water pump, radiator and hoses. All topped off with Volvo coolant. I’ve been driving about with the windows down and the heater on full blast all week!! |

Busy bee
Played with my crankshaft locking tool - I've lent it out to several forum members but not used it myself until today.
Boy, does it make the timing belt job easier! I had suspected that the Valdez's timing was off for some time but, it being the second car and doing few miles, have been deferring the job since forever. Now the Valdez seems livelier but the accursed lock-down means it will be Monday before I can use the car to go to work in and confirm my suspicions.

Today rebuilt a nice garden three flower design solar light that had rusted out in the battery case using a little ingenuity and some 'bits' stashed away in the garage that 'might just come useful' ..... one day'!!
Still haven't done anything on the 745 or finished putting together those Nivomats (only driven it once in nearly 8 weeks), but as always 'living' in hope!! Bob |
