Hi mate, I'm going to get it back together and drive it and see how I feel. I may well keep it unless another car I really like comes up in the meantime. Nothing out there I 100% want ATM.

As my mapped MTE ECU I bought wasn't compatible with my car I'm now another £450 out of pocket. Got no money left so car is back for sale! Will sell to the highest bidder, or a nice olive green 850R or T5R may tempt me.

Don't give up man, you're so close! The older cars have their problems too... The T4 is nice and quiet and doesn't rattle!

What did you use? VHT silver spray?

Thanks mate. Yeah used hycote heatproof aluminium paint. Here's some more pics with it all back together

This is a definite project for me, in the near future.

My engine bay could benefit from a bit of a spring clean.

I assume you just masked of everything that wasn't silver and sprayed it all in a draft free area (garage etc)?

Hi mate, I had the head off the car doing the HG so it was easy for me. I was planning on masking it though as you mention. Would be a fiddly job but worth it.
