XC-90 GPS + rear cam installer needed
Hope someone might point me in the direction of a good installer for this all-in-one Chinese GPS pop-up unit which I am ordering:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/27...olvo_XC90.html Suprisingly, there are no reviews or feedback on this in any forum, so I've decided to take the plunge myself and will report back. They sent me the full instructions, and it's doen't seem too difficult (plug 'n play), but I would rather get it done professionally. I also need a rear camera installed and nicely fitted with the wire hidden (apparently the unit automatically switches to the cam when in reverse). Would anyone also know if you can change the stock CD for a DVD player, as this also accepts a DVD input? Thanks in advance - XC-90 MY09 Last edited by Moondog; Mar 23rd, 2010 at 13:13. |

can you let me know price ? - I never managed to get a response from them.
Search on Swedespeed - some people on there have installed them. There is a link to a thread in this forum XC90 wanted section, otherwise it's the AWD classified section ( was a group buy I think) .. |

The price is $600 plus $70 to the UK, which isn't bad.
There is a group buy on SwedeSpeed but not for this unit, just a screen and then people are putting external Garmin boxes on. Shame as it seems pretty good really: 800x600 touchscreen Can take Igo8 nav Bluetooth (a must for me) Rear camera input USB/SD card for media etc. If Elliott2 is reading this, can you PM me if you can help? Being a newbie, I have to ask publicly. |

Problem is the Garmin box is not available anymore so the screen + Garmin isn't an option right now .
Can you share the installation instructions you got for the screen ? Thanks |

Not sure why you would want to anyway. Much harder install, more expensive, no bluetooth, no rear cam, no media player, lower screen res etc.
Here's the pdf they sent for the install. |

Yes - I asked specifically:
1. Does the unit have Bluetooth for hands free operation with a cell phone? -----Yes. This unit has built-in hand-free BT.(2010/01/30) |

I think you will have to pay import duty on this item as well and a holding fee so I would add another £100 to that price ? I bought an item outside eu for £300 and had to pay £57 for duty and fees ,hope this is of some use Bri
