Default V50 r design seat colour

Hi folks

Just purchased my first volvo.
R design V50. What a lovely drive!
It's a reasonably high miler so the drivers seat needs some TLC.
Has anybody used any leather dye to sort the creases out.
I've rang gliptone and they've been bought out by someone and no longer have gliptone shades. ( a saab one I used to use looks close).
I would need the shade for the cream colour of the r design seats.
Any info greatly received!
Thanks

Default V50 R design seat colour

I have the same cream black R design seats. I need to get my seats repainted as have been touched up once but now need done correctly. The most important thing to remember is the seats are painted and have a clearcoat from new. So don't even think about any product for a real 'leather' seat.

A company that knows what they are talking about are LTT Leathercare Tel : +44(0)1423 881027. They supply kits and will I think also do the work. If doing the work yourself the colour match is the big problem as I cannot find anywhere to take a sample for the likes of LTT to match against. Also seems to be impossible to get a paint spec such as a RAL number and not sure if the likes of LTT would be willing to mix on that basis.

There are a lot of excellent companies doing this type of work in the UK but seriously check how they do the job and if ' a light application of leather balm once in a while' to maintain is mentioned, run a mile.

Best of luck, please post how you get on.

When I had my V50 R design, I contacted Volvo for the Cream Seat colour name and then had a kit made up by a company.
It was an identical match ( after the seats were given a very thorough clean first before application)
I will have a look tonight at the bottle for details and post them up for you.

Volvo 'Oak Arena' is the official colour of the center insert.

A good upholsterer will be able to provide a kit to colour it,
remember it is not 'real leather' and make sure the kit is for
that. they will keep you right if you mention it.

The company I used was 'leather clinic' or something along those lines.
but I have seen plenty that will do the correct materials.

Hi Jim, send colourlock a message with your Chassis number. They can suply a kit that will allow you to sort the interior yourself.
