Default Worn clutch or clutch master

Hi All,

My 2013 V40 with 28k has a high biting point apparently and the dealership says its either a worn clutch or clutch master. The latter is covered by warranty where as the former will cost 1.2k to replace. They say there's no way to tell without striping the car down but i don't really want to get a clutch replaced at a dealership (quoted £600 elsewhere). Any thoughts? Worse yet, the warranty ends next month.

Thanks a lot!!

Insist on Volvo covering the full cost. It has only done 28k and still has a warranty. How can they argue a worn clutch is your fault at only 28k miles? At least see if they will meet you halfway.
