Strut brace needed 1999v70r

As above need a strut brace for my car I took it of to do some work on it and think it's been put in the scrap at work

Oh dear...I feel for you ...that's going to be very hard to replace....they probably have no idea at your work how hard they are to find.
I know after hunting for ages for one.
I'm sorry to hear that and I will keep on the look out for you, but it may be a while.
Recently....when I was having buyers looking at a second C70 I had....a volvo owner viewed and said he had a brace at home...problem is I haven't got his number now but he's from my area so if I see him I will of course ask ?

Good point. However, I always stand to be corrected but I believe they are no longer in production ?
When I searched for one for my C70 two years ago, there were none available in any dealer UK wide....and had also sold out at dealers right across Europe !
That's why they're so sought after now.

Ah right, It was 4 years since I bought mine so you may well be correct. I'm sure Shem Green has some used ones.

I'd be rather upset if mine was accidently thrown out at work ?
I feel for the guy. They do seem to crop up sometimes on cars being sold as spares on eBay. Often showing in the photo of engine bay and not even mentioned in the advert text !!

He is a Volvo breaker/mechanic/tuner/custom parts and exhausts near Nottingham. He is very well know on the Volvo pages on Facebook.

Yes indeed if you see a C70 with crystal lights...egg crate and if lucky...a oem strut brace....that also has reasonable alloys.. .and the spares price is reasonable....someone may be tempted to buy it for those parts alone.....especially if you also need a few parts yourself too ?
Exactly what I thought when I bought a second C70 from Kent....only when I had I delivered. ..the car looked nothing like the pictures on eBay. ..the shi***r had removed a lot of the key items I wanted !
Oh well...down to experience and all that I guess !!
