Default V70 2.4 2002 Rear electronics module

I've lost power to the tailgate lock, rear door locks, rear wiper and reversing lights. Does this group have a separate power supply or am I looking at a damaged circuit board?

Default Tailgate Wiring

Your problem is probably broken wiring as the harness passes he tailgate hinges, due to constant flexing over a long time. Examine at this point.

Already checked that and can't see any breaks. I was just wondering about the circuit board as my car has already had the solder failure on the instrument cluster.

I've had the occasional power outage due to condensation getting in to the module (damp carpets from dog, sunny day = condensation)- a quick blast from a hairdryer sorted it out

Those breaks to the wiring can take out not only the fuses but also damage relays in the rear module - its located behind the left carpeted rear card as you look at the boot from the bumper go to pages go to pages 34 and 35 of the EWD

May also include rear dropping head rest among other items that sit on the same fuse (first up on the left a red one if I remember).

Check the fuse first

Cables can be the culprit, but the next one are the rear plate lights, one very common issue that few are aware until it starts draining the battery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1xxHECS8as

Checked all fuses and relays. First red fuse is power supply to the module on my car - which is working ok as everything else but the above mentioned works. Whenever I had the problems with condesation, it was always this group that didn't work yet everything else was fine. This got me wondering if there are more than one power supply to the module or maybe the connection for one of the chips have broken

I didn't mention it in the video, but the fuse for the REM wasn't blown on my car, yet the plate lights were draining the battery - so they were shorted but the fuse wouldn't blow. Maybe try unhooking the connector to the trunk switch and plate lights, see if the problem comes back in rainy days. May use the key to open the trunk (do a test first before closing the trunk).
