Smile 850 drivers side seatbelt mechanism

Hi there, I’m new to the Forum so I hope I’m posting this in the right place! My much beloved 850’s drivers side seat belt mechanism has broken so that it won’t release. I’m trying to track down a second hand one (Taunton Volvo state that they don’t make them any more!), I’ve also tried various breakers with no success. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I’d be very greatful.

Do yours have airbag pre tensioners in them?

Hi Ian,

I’m no expert on these things but yes as far as I know. I’ve attached a picture of a passengers side one, it looks exactly the same other than being the other way round.

Matt

Hi Matt, can you send me the part number for one of them. Either side just to check against a set I have.

Ah ok, well I've looked at a parts list & there's a few different ones depending on a change to the b pillar. The one I have is from a 98 V70 but some of the part numbers do cross over. Im fairly sure it will fit.

Hi Ian, I might be sorted, one of the local breakers think they have found one. If I need yours I’ll drop you a line, how much do you want for it? Thanks, Matt
