Default S90 - Buzzing rear driver side door

Today on the hour commute back home I've noticed a very annoying buzzing noise coming from the rear driver side passenger door. I've noticed in the past but normally it will go away after a while however this time it's there for the whole commute

Initially I thought it was the speakers however the buzzing continues on even without any music. The buzzing also stops if car is stationary so it must be something else.

Anyone have similar issue?

I have something similar. Not music. Feels like it’s coming from passenger door for me. I do t have it on all journeys. I think it may be temperature dependent.

JC888, I have the same buzzing issue with my 2 month old S90.

The sound is produced by something inside the side mirror. But the buzzing seems to disappear after about a minute.

In addition, I have had a number of other small issues:
Boot does not open
Boot opened very slowly
Rear parking sensor failed to create warnings
Side mirrors did not fold.

As long as the car doesn't break down, I can live with these small issues. They don't seem to happen all the time.

My previous 2 year old 5 series was forever breaking down with computer issues, so far I m pleased with the S90 despite these.

Could be temperature dependant. Drove it today albeit short distance and was very quiet, no buzzing. I have OCD so the buzzing does annoy me. Some came from the sunroof but I managed to reduce it loads by some felt tape.

Sorry to hear about your issues, surprised to as it's only 2 months old! I'm pretty sure the buzzing is from the interior and not the side mirrors. Might be the curtains and I had it extended.

Hope you get your issues resolved soon, too many to be considered small issues but that's just my opinion.
My driver seat lumbar keeps inflating requiring me to readjust every time. To me that's minor issue but will have it looked at next time the car is in for a service.

Thanks JC888. Hope you have your issues sorted out soon too.

Tell you what, with my previous Beamers and Mercs all suffering some major breakdowns, I am quite pleased to experience just the issues which don't prevent me from reaching my destinations with the S90. I got so tired with the troublesome German motors. Hence the switch to good old sensible and rather high-tech Volvos...

I had the same issue with my S90 and took it back to the dealer three times to get it fixed. They eventually stripped down both rear doors and secured the wiring loom for the speaker and added some anti rattle tape. This fixed it for a while but then it came back worse than ever. I traced it to where the plastic door card meets the metal door, just below the top door capping. I placed a piece of felt tape between the two surfaces and this has solved the rattling noise. I have attached a picture of it showing where to put the tape. I haven't actually fixed it in place or trimmed it yet so you can see it poking out on the photograph.

Probably tied to your key, you've probably set your driver profile with the lumbar inflated, everytime you get in it will reinflate.

Deflate and resave to key
